Compass Logistics Formula 1 Cargo Service
In 2007 our cargo division Compass Logistics has been engaged to fly a number of Formula 1 teams and their equipment from venue to venue. The team we transport will be assigned close to each event. The next flight will be from Birmingham (EGBB) to Avalon (YMAV) for the Australian GP, bidding opens 13 Feb 07.
All of these flights will use the special call sign YMF1. One of our Being 747-200F aircraft, VH-RHM has been placed in this special commerative livery and has been named Sir Jack Brabham. This repaint by Andy Banner is now available from the Fleet page
Some outward flights are the same day as the inbound flight from the preceeding GP. In this case we will be engaged to convey teams directly from one event to another. These flights are marked with an asterix. There may or may not be a requirement to transfer teams between events within Europe.
Unless otherwise notified bidding for each flight opens 14 days prior to each flight being scheduled.
In 2007 there is no race in San Marino, although there are rumours that an 18th race (the European Grand Prix) may be added and held at the San Marino circuit.
