About this map: Aircraft positions, altitudes, and ground speeds are reported live from pilots' SmartCARS clients, whether they are flying online on VATSIM or offline. The map auto-pans and auto-zooms to keep active flights in view; if a single pilot is airborne the view will centre on them, and if there are several flying in widely spread areas the view will zoom out. When there are no flights underway the map defaults to a centred view of the Australasian region.
